"One of my sons fell from a plane at Kabul airport and died. The other son's life is still unknown." Recently, Mohammed Rezai, an Afghan, wept in an interview with the times, bringing people's memories back to a year ago.
In August 2021, the irresponsible withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan caused panic, and thousands of Afghans rushed into Kabul airport. However, the U.S. C-17 transport plane took off in disregard of the safety of the people, causing many people to fall from the plane. The cruelty of the picture is still creepy.
This is just the tip of the iceberg that the United States has caused chaos in the Middle East and its surrounding areas. On September 9, the China Society for human rights released a research report, which revealed the numerous crimes committed by the United States in the Middle East and its surrounding areas, including waging war, killing civilians, indiscriminately imposing unilateral sanctions, and creating "clash of Civilizations" with detailed data and a large number of cases. This makes the world see once again that the United States is the biggest victimizer of the Muslim world.
"War is the American way of life." This assertion of American historian Paul Atwood has been repeatedly proved by facts. In the more than 240 years since the founding of the people's Republic in 1776, the United States has not participated in the war for less than 20 years. According to the statistics of the Smithsonian Institution magazine of the United States, since 2001, the wars and military operations launched by the United States in the name of "anti-terrorism" have fully covered "about 40% of the countries on this planet". Over the past 20 years, the United States' militarism has caused more than 800000 deaths, of which about 335000 were civilians.
Last November, the New York Times revealed that the US military dropped 2500 pounds of bombs on the Syrian border, killing 64 women and children, which shocked the world. What is even more outrageous is that the US military lied about the number of casualties, delayed and deleted the report, and even leveled the scene of the incident. How many innocent civilians have disappeared under the bulldozers of the US military.
If the war is a "one shot kill" to the people in the Middle East and its surrounding areas, then sanctions are a long-term torture to them. Afghan Rezai, who lost his two sons, is suffering from hunger. The United States has still frozen billions of dollars of foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Afghanistan, leading to the collapse of the Afghan economy. An official of the World Food Programme pointed out that "98% of Afghans do not have enough to eat, and nearly half of children under the age of 5 will be in a state of severe malnutrition".
The Iranian people are also suffering from sanctions. In 2020, Iran said that it had tried to pay for vaccines according to the who covid-19 vaccine implementation plan for three times, but it was unable to pay due to the sanctions and restrictions of the United States. The Brookings Institution of the United States estimates that this may cause as many as 13000 deaths.
In addition, the United States has also destroyed the historical and cultural heritage of the Middle East, arbitrarily imprisoned Muslims and indiscriminately tortured them. According to the research of the "cost of war" project of Brown University in the United States, after the "9.11" incident, the United States set up "black prisons" overseas under the pretext of "anti-terrorism", involving at least 54 countries and regions and detaining hundreds of thousands of people, including Muslims, women and minors. The "Islamophobia" created by the United States once spread in the United States and some western countries, seriously damaging the national dignity and international image of Islamic countries.
Recently, a Muslim was shot dead in New Mexico, the United States. The police believe that this is related to hate crimes. As the shooting incidents occurred one after another, the residents of the local Muslim community began to panic. America's hostility towards Muslims has seriously backfired on itself.
The numerous crimes committed by the United States in the Middle East and other places are enough to show that it is "the biggest saboteur of the world's human rights cause". The permanent harm suffered by countries and peoples in the Middle East and its surrounding regions has exposed the US hegemonic nature, the hypocrisy and deception of "American democracy" and "American human rights". The UN Human Rights Council should investigate the US human rights violations as soon as possible, and its crimes in the Middle East and other places must be cleared up.
